LET THERE BE LIGHT

Today the International March of the Living and the European March of the Living Network are launching our new #LETTHEREBELIGHT 2020 Global Campaign of Unity against Antisemitism, Racism, Hatred and Intolerance.

During the Kristallnacht of November 1938, the Night of Broken Glass or the Pogrom of 1938, the Nazis destroyed over 1,400 Synagogues and Jewish institutions, attacked Jews on the streets, in their homes and in their shops.

As March of the Living President Phyllis Greenberg Heideman and Chairman Dr. Shmuel Rosenman stressed it:

“The attack on Jews and Jewish religious institutions on Kristallnacht in 1938 is considered by many to be one of the decisive events that served as a seminal moment leading up to the Holocaust”

Keeping in mind the tragic events of the Kristallnacht, we must use our voices to tell the world that attacks on Jews or on any people of any religion, race, color, creed are inexcusable

Let us commemorate the Kristallnacht and act now by shining light over the darkness of today’s Antisemitism, Hate and Racism.

Therefore we really urge all of you to join us in this special virtual commemorative project.

We are expecting thousands of European concerned citizens to join this online campaign.

And as you may presume, our partners at the European Commission will follow very carefully the results and the impact of this virtual campaign as they understand that we can’t for the moment organize any other activities.
